Although the Summer and Spring seasons are the most popular when it comes to weddings, Winter weddings are increasingly growing in popularity! Whether you’re planning a jewel toned reception or winter wonderland affair, I’ve put together a few tips to assist you with your magical winter wedding.
There’s so much more to wedding florals than holly berries, pinecones, and pine boughs. If you want something a little less traditional why not go for a romantic all-white bouquet and white blossom trees as centrepieces. My favourite wintery florals include Anemones, Calla Lilies, Hydrangeas and of course the classic Rose.
Make the most of the season and opt for those comforting foods we all love and enjoy. There are many caterers out there who can guide you through the perfect winter menu and leave your guests satisfied. Think hearty soups and mains, and warm and rich puddings to top it all off.
Forget the champagne and serve up warming winter drinks to get your guests feeling toasty inside. Winter cocktails such as warm apple cider, mulled wine, baileys with hot chocolate go down a treat, and for those who don’t drink simply serve up a classic hot chocolate.
No matter the season it’s always a good idea to plan for inclement weather. Now if you’re planning a winter wedding there’s a very high possibility it could rain or even snow on your special day. Why not consider buying or hiring out a number of umbrellas to stop your guests getting drenched while they transfer from one place to another.
