There are some essential numbers and details you need to have in place before booking your suppliers. So, today I’ve put together a list of the top 3 things you should do before racing ahead and booking your wedding suppliers.
You need a budget (unless money is no issue of course!)
Now for most, this may not be the most exciting task, but the first place to start when wedding planning is to decide on a budget. Will you and your partner be paying for the wedding yourself? Will your friends and family be contributing? Whatever the case, make sure you meet with all who will be doing so, and find out exactly what they will be paying for. Once you’ve done this, you should have a better idea of what your wedding budget is, and begin to allocate specific amounts to each supplier.
Work out how many guests you’ll be inviting
Having an estimate at this stage in the process is helpful! Once you start contacting suppliers be assured that they will ask you how many guests you’ll be having. Bear in mind that with this information some suppliers will be able to provide you with a more accurate quote.
Decide on your Wedding Date
If you haven’t yet decided on your actual date, you might just get away with giving your wedding suppliers the month you plan on getting married. From this they may be able to tell you what their availability is like around this time. However, it would work in your favour, as you can secure your date, and guarantee their services.
