Today, I bring to you just some of the biggest wedding trends for 2018. From statement capes, bows, and chic monochrome palettes, I really do believe there’s something for everyone. Scroll on to see some of my favourite picks.
It’s not all about the dress
I remember the moment I came across those images from Solangé’s wedding day, where she rocked that gorgeous jumpsuit! She showed just how stylish and chic you could look even if you’re not wearing a princess ball gown on your wedding day. This trend was in before Solange’s wedding images surfaced, however, it’s certainly picked up since then with many designers like Oscar de la Renta, Peter Langner, and Viktor & Rolf incorporating this style into their collections.
Be Your Very Own Superwoman
Again, just like the jumpsuit, the cape and capelet trend have become popular over time and was featured on the bridal runways in abundance this year!
A lil’ monochrome ain’t never hurt nobody
When you think of wedding dresses you most probably think whites, ivories and maybe a little bit of blush too. Black is probably the last shade you would ever consider, however, designers such as Vera Wang’s and Marchesa’s 2018 bridal collections are giving me some serious monochrome vibes that are ever so stylish.
Are you a fan of bows? Well I’ll let you know now that big and bold is the way to go! However, if you’re feeling a little shy there are a few subtle pieces out there.
A Bit of Neck Action
I love a good old high neck. There’s something about them that just adds an element of sophistication, but they can still look so sexy, especially when there’s a bit of lace involved!
